Machine vs Handmade

Knitting textile machines have been around since 1589 for sock making; however, there has yet to be a machine invented that can create a varied crochet patterns. There is currently a machine in development that will be able to make a fabric that is sewn on one side only and will not create the depth of stitches created by a handmade item. My design influences have been knitting, crochet, counted cross stitch, needlepoint, crewel, hardanger, embroidery and weaving. I hope you see a little of those in every design.

Lizzy

I am a lover of all needle art and have been sewing since I was five years old, I started to develop my design style and creativity by combining several types of needle crafts together and have honed my skills on many projects over the last 57 years. I am in the northern Colorado area and get inspired by helping others and bringing joy. I can look back at the projects that I have crafted for friends and family that are still considered very precious items to this day.
